Charles Haskett

With multiple decades of experience across development and construction, Charles has established himself as a trusted industry leader, known for his calm, level-headed, relationship-driven approach to every business dealing.

Prior to founding Bonavic, Charles began his career as a project engineer with Hathaway Development, building projects in Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama.  He then joined Doster Construction, where he progressed from assistant superintendent to superintendent, then project manager, overseeing the construction of multiple luxury apartment communities, an assisted living facility, and two high schools.  Charles later served as Construction Manager for Arlington Properties, where he led pre-construction and construction for the firm’s multifamily pipeline while actively pursuing new development opportunities.  During the course of his career, he has personally overseen the construction and development of more than 5,000 residential units and numerous commercial projects representing over $500 million in costs.

He is a graduate of the University of Alabama, a licensed general contractor and a resident of Mexico Beach, Florida.

Bobby Childers

Immediately prior to joining Bonavic Construction in the summer of 2019, Mr. Childers spent more than 20 years in the communication industry installing, programming and servicing a variety of systems.  Before that, he spent time working for various trades within the construction industry.  With his vast experience, there is very little he hasn’t seen or done firsthand.  Bobby is involved with every project at Bonavic and brings unsurpassed knowledge, a commitment to service, thorough communication and attention to detail to every interaction.

Kari Smith

Kari ensures the smooth operation of office and financial functions while supporting construction and development activities. She is known for her strong client service, professional demeanor, and ability to keep initiatives moving forward with precision and care, actively supporting overall business performance.

Prior to joining Bonavic in 2023, Kari held senior operational and client-facing roles including Chief Operating Officer for a consulting firm, residential Realtor, and owner-operator of several family restaurant businesses, consistently improving processes, growing revenue and elevating customer experience. Earlier roles in agency public relations and brand marketing strengthened her communication, event coordination and relationship-building skills, which she now leverages to represent the Bonavic brand and support its long-term growth.

Kari is a graduate of the University of Texas, Arlington with a degree in Public Relations and a minor in Business.  She is a licensed Florida real estate professional and a resident of Port Saint Joe, Florida.

Casey Rogers

Casey is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and holds a degree in Construction Management.  With more than 10 years of experience in both commercial and residential construction, he has performed various roles including Project Engineer, Field Manager and Superintendent.  Prior to joining the team, Casey was the Project Manager for a high-end custom home builder in the Metro Atlanta area where he was responsible for managing multiple home builds from start to finish.  Casey’s range of experience allows him to evaluate projects, develop accurate budgets, manage trades and keep projects on schedule.  Casey lives in Youngstown with his wife and two kids.

Sam May

Born and raised in Ocala, Florida, Sam has been in the construction industry for more than 10 years.  Sam has experience in commercial, industrial and residential projects with hands on experience in HVAC, electrical, carpentry and plumbing systems.  He is well-versed in equipment and supply procurement and has the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, managing trades and schedules effectively.  Sam is a strong team leader and uses his firsthand knowledge with tools and machinery to facilitate exemplary project completion.
